6 Sure-Fire Tips to Get Your Articles Read

I had a fight with my friend today.

Well, kind of.

We were "debating" on what makes an article sizzle.

An article that gets read.

After 2 hours of back and forth "debating" (which was really ego centered yelling) we came to the conclusion.

I want to give you 6 sure fire tips to get your articles read- over and over again.

#1 Tip: Use short paragraphs.

Like this.

Well, doesn't have to be that short but make sure it's no more than 3 sentences a paragraph.

I know it's different from what you learned in school. But this has been a proven technique to get your readers to stay and not run to the hills.

Why?

When the paragraphs are long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader. The reader will then quickly parachute out of your website.

You don't want that, do you?

Tip #2 Make use of numbers or bullets.

Kind of like what I did.

Why?

It makes the reading easier, doesn't it?

So be sure to format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs.

It's like putting make up on Plain Jane. Suddenly she's not so plain, but beautiful.

Tip #3 Use Sub-headings

If you're writing a LONG article, it best to divide it into sections.

Doing this will break each point into digestible parts. It would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the transition would be smooth and easy.

You will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.

Plus, it makes it easier to find what they're looking for when they decide to go back and read the article again.

Tip #4 Have an attention-grabbing title or header.

Remember, the title of this article?

It got your attention, didn't it?

If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article.

Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content.

Tip #5 Keep them interested from the start to the finish.

From your opening paragraph, use stories. Or anything that can create attention right away.

I didn't really get a fight with my friend. I just wanted your attention.

How about the ending? Well finish reading, and you'll see how to end your articles.

Tip #6 Keep 'em wanting more.
